Bread Sauce Porridge

This one needs something to give the otherwise-soft bread sauce a little texture – I used chia seeds (could soak these briefly first to take the crunch out) but rye flakes soaked in the yoghurt for a few hours (or overnight) would have worked well. Rye flakes are tougher than oats so although you can eat without cooking, they do take a little longer to soften.

Serves 1

Ingredients

Bread Sauce 1 portion Cold leftovers
Raspberries 50 grams Frozen or Fresh
Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Greek Yoghurt 125 grams
Chia Seeds 15 grams Soaked in 1tbs cold water for 15mins if preferred, or substitute rye flakes soaked in the raspberries overnight

 

Method

  1. Simply mix all the ingredients together and serve. Add cinnamon to taste.
